NEWER PHOTO GALLERIES!

August 29, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Hello, it’s me again just thought I’d let you in on a bit of news.

OUR PHOTO GALLERIES HAVE MOVED!  Based on our galleries popularity we have realized we must address certain safety issues.  Our photos will still be available for you to view but we will need you to register for a password to access them.  Now this may sound a little more complicated than before but rest assured we are partnering with Bunk1 in order to make this a safe, secure, and painless experience.

We value our campers and their families’ safety and we are taking the steps necessary to provide our Camp Friendship community a very safe and secure way to share in the camp experiences all
Year.  Currently our photo galleries only are available but we hope to offer more in the future.

If you are eager to see the new features available you may go to our website at www.campfriendship.com and click on the link to register for your password.

Our 2007 summer families will soon be receiving more in-depth information on these changes so please be on the look out for a special message from Camp Friendship.

I personally invite you to let us know if you’ve enjoyed this summers photo galleries and weekly news articles by emailing or calling us at 1.800.873.3223.

Talk to you soon

Week 10 – End of Camp

August 16, 2007 · Leave a Comment

After many weeks of great summer fun the time has come for us to say, See You Next Summer!   It has been great fun but like all great things this too has to end, until next year that is.  We are already planning some pretty amazing things for next summer so keep your eyes on our website for the news to come.

This week was quite awesome not only did we get to have our last week of summer fun with our great campers but our Staff Soccer (Football) Team had the opportunity to play against our neighbor camp Triple C.  I have to say this time we did not go quietly into the night, no Sir.  Team Friendship won this match now that’s how we close the summers here at Camp Friendship, with a bang!

Well to all our campers, parents, and staff who have found themselves reading these pages throughout the summer thanks for stopping by.  These pages will be a little quieter over the next few months but I’ll still be here since Camp Friendship after all isn’t my home away from home but actually my HOME.

Don’t forget to check out the photos for this week and all summer.

See you next W, OOPS  See you next summer

Week 9 : Flags Everywhere

August 13, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Week 9 has come and gone and we had a great time.  It was another very hot week but we were ready with water bottles and everything.  I’d say pool and lake swim were very popular this week with the campers.  This week we finally after some time talking about doing it we were finally able to have our international flag raising right along side the American flag raising.  The flag raising ceremony is held right before breakfast when we raise the American flag as we start the day in good ‘ole summer camp tradition.  However with a variety of international campers and counselors we’ve always wanted to be able to provide them the opportunity to raise their very own flag at the start of the day aswell.  Now here at Camp Friendship they can. We’ve put up 18 flag poles for just that reason and as you can see they are flying high.  We are currently representing here at camp France, Russia, New Zealand, South Africa, and many other countries.  Flag raising may take a few minutes longer now but it’s still a great start to a summer day.

This week I also had the great opportunity to join the challenge campers over at Lake Ana for some waterskiing and wakeboarding.  I’ve been talking about doing this all summer and finally had the chance, good thing too since that was my last chance to ride along this summer.

Well after a small fishing incident with a snapping turtle (don’t worry the turtle is fine) we set off on the boat and I got to see some waterskiing and wakeboarding.  I even got one of our instructiors to show us how it’s done.

We’ll see you next week.
