This week on top of our usual fun activities we enjoyed the 4th of July games, activities, and fireworks. It was truly an exciting sight for all to see. Camper were divided into three teams on Wednesday, the Red Team, White Team, and the Blue Team. The three teams competed in friendly games on the water and land for the morning part of the activities. During lunch the teams were treated to a Silent Lunch were they were not allowed to speak. This prepared them for all the cheering that would ensue later in the afternoon.
After Lunch the three teams got into position for a camp wide relay that started at the Equestrian Center Sign and ending at the lower sports fields. The teams participated in special games at every major activity area until they reached their goal. To finish it off the teams gathered at the drama theatre for dance, lip synch, and the team song. It was an great to see the spirit and the excitement. Every team had their own special achievements throughout the day but ultimately the Red Team finished in first place. It was all in good fun and a great team effort from all three teams made this a great 4th of July.
The rest of the week was as fun as ever and we topped it off with a Halloween themed dance party and Campfire. All and All it was an amazing week and we are looking forward to the next with renewed camp spirit and excitement.
So go now and take a look at the photos. I was lucky enough to have some help this week with photos since there was so much going on. Thank you to Zee our Challenge Director and to Sarah our Assistant Director for your help.
We’ll see you next week
