It was about this time last year that the CF Summer Blog first hit the web and I seem to remember telling you what was coming up for the summer of 2007. I don’t want to let the “cat out of the bag” too early, but just let me tell you, I believe just a couple of words can say it all….
Even BIGGER and BETTER!
· A new “Dance Pavillion” re-finished especially for our Dance classes
· Newly renovated Jr Boys Village
· New activities – “High Adventure”; “Cheer Tumble”; “Song Writing with Colonel Custard”; “Fem Fitness & Funk”
· New Half day sports clinics – Gymnastics, Tennis, Golf and Cheerleading
· Did I mention that you can now do Waterskiing?? Previously it was just for “Challenge” but now it’s offered as one of the half-day sports clinics
As the Program Director I am still overseeing the activity areas and evening village
programs and making sure that they are SAFE and FUN for the upcoming summer, but I am also finalizing all the staff hiring!
I am working hard on making sure that Camp Friendship has the best quality staff possible for another fun filled summer. We are lucky enough to have some old faces that you may remember from last summer, or be lucky enough to have had as a counselor, like…
Jess, Rory, Harry and Jack from SV2
Todd, Claire and Cassidy from Mini Camp
Kelsi, Cate, Hannah, Amanda, Chrissy, Marina and Caitlin from Jr. Girls
Mike, Andrew, Allen, Colin, Devon and Zach from Jr. Boys
Casey, Mandi and Evalis from the equestrian center
And…Jamie and Zee from Challenge (Hoo Haa!)
Some are taking on new and exciting responsibilities
in the Supervisory group and becoming Village and Area/Program Directors and some have returned to do their jobs from last summer because they missed their campers from ‘07 soooooooooooo much! J
I have to say, I am so excited to see everyone again, however I am equally excited to meet and to tell you about our new staff! They come to us from all over the USA and literally all over the world!
Australia, Bolivia, England, France, Ghana, Ireland, Israel, Jamaica, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, and Venezuela. We are just so lucky to have such a high caliber of skilled staff at Camp Friendship!
So get out your Calendars and mark it…
3 weeks today till the Supervisory group arrives… 4 weeks today till the counselors arrive… AND… only 5 weeks till the first campers arrive… that means I only have to wait 35 more sleeps to see you all again…
I’m counting down the days!
See you in the summer J SAM
